Are you looking for some family-friendly events in the Stockton area? Whether you want to stay local or don’t mind going off the beaten path, there are plenty of things to do this Halloween in Stockton. Take a look at our top five favorite family-friendly themed events that kids will love – and so will you!

1. Dia de los Muertos at the Mexican Heritage Center

Why you want to go here: As part of Stockton Arts Week, the Mexican Heritage Center in Stockton is hosting a Dia de los Muertos street fiesta, and you don’t want to miss out. Enjoy live mariachi music, folkloric dances, a kid’s corner, games, food, arts and crafts, vendors, and much more. The Mexican Heritage Center and Gallery have different events going on throughout October, so make sure to stop by and participate.

2. University of the Pacific Safe Trick-or-Treat

Why you want to go here: The University of the Pacific’s Safe Trick-or-Treat is a mega popular annual event hosted by the school. Kids ages 3-11 are welcome to come in costume and visit the different stations and booths on campus in order to get handfuls of sugary delights. Expect large crowds, as this event has been known to draw 4,000 visitors or more each year.

3. Trick-or-Treat on the Mile

Why you want to go here: Trick-or-Treat on Stockton’s Miracle Mile is perfect fun for your little ones. Enjoy a safe environment where kids can trick or treat and get tons of candy (enough to share with you, even!) from local shops and restaurants. The event is early enough that you can go out for a family dinner afterward, too!

4. Yappy Halloween

Why you want to go here: Are you an animal lover? Good. Because it doesn’t matter if you own a dog or just want to hang out and watch the pooch parade while sipping a glass of wine, the Yappy Halloween event at LangeTwins Winery and Vineyards is for you. The winery is family friendly (and pet friendly, of course) so you can bring the whole gang along. If you want your pup to participate in the costume contest, then make sure to purchase an entry ticket online in advance.

5. Dell’Osso Family Farm

Why you want to go here: Those of you who grew up in the Stockton area know that Dell’Osso family farm had to make the list of the 5 family-friendly Stockton Halloween events. This is a great place to take the entire family, whether you have young kids, teenagers, or a range in between. General admission gets you free parking and admission to the pumpkin patch, express train, hay rides, petting zoo, lawn games, corn maze, haunted castle, super slide, and more. For a few extra bucks you can also partake in gem mining, pumpkin blasters, zip lines, or pony rides. There’s an activity for everyone, so make sure to come early and bring everyone along for the ride.
